Time to Reset Boundaries

At work, we often train people to treat us a certain way—by always being available, or by letting small requests slide.
It’s easy to create these patterns without even realizing it.
But here’s the truth: you have the power to reset boundaries whenever needed.
Let’s say you expect an agenda before a meeting, but you’ve allowed meetings to proceed without one.
Instead of continuing this pattern, try sending a quick reminder before the meeting or politely postponing until an agenda is provided.
Likewise, if you’re known for dropping everything when someone calls, consider letting calls go to voicemail or setting clear limits on your availability.
Resetting boundaries is about consciously choosing how you want to interact with others and reinforcing it with consistent actions.
It’s not too late to reset a new boundary, and to reinforce it with people.
Why not reflect on one boundary that needs attention—and make a plan to reset it.
Small shifts in boundaries can lead to big changes in how you’re treated at work.
