The Power of Transparency

The Power of Transparency

I recently had two contrasting conversations that underscored the importance of transparency in leadership.

Now, let me ask you: when faced with the choice of sharing what’s going on or withholding information, which way do you usually lean?

In both instances, the discussions centered around the profound impact of transparency on team dynamics.  While your team doesn’t often have much say over their budget, what the priorities are, how many resources they are being given to complete their mandate, what you can give them is transparency.

Being transparent fosters trust and empowers teams by providing clarity on what’s happening, why decisions are made, and what outcomes to expect.

So when you don’t have any more to give your team but you really want to be there for them, try for more transparency.
