If you have got a promotion, chances are it’s because you are great at taking a project from start to completion. You are great at looking at what is in front of you and following through. You can trust in yourself when it comes to these skills.
However, as you move up it’s no longer about understanding what’s happening in your functional area, it’s about understanding how your work fits into the big company picture. You might be working on a project that’s of incredibly high priority to YOU and are thinking this is the key to your success.
